New releases – week of 12/17/13

Despite being in the midst of the holiday season, there aren’t many AAA titles coming out this week, but there are still some good ones left as we finish out 2013.

It should be noted that these are all downloadable games, no physical copies, and that these release dates pertain to North America. Here’s this weeks new releases:

Tuesday 12/17

“Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition” (PlayStation 3)

PS3 owners can now enjoy the blocky world of “Minecraft.”

“Minecraft” comes to the PS3 long after its initial console release on Xbox 360. Promising all the current features that other console versions of the game, PC players may be a little disappointed with some of the limitations it has compared the the PC version. If console gaming is your thing, however, you can download the game for $19.99.

“The Walking Dead: Season Two – Part 1” (Xbox 360, PS3, Mac, PC)
Following the events of the first season, “The Walking Dead: Season Two” will have players take on the role of Clementine as she makes her way through a zombie filled world while meeting old faces and some new ones. All the while, she must deal with the decisions made in the first season. The season will follow the same release pattern as the last.
