October Playstation Plus free games

A new month is upon us which means free games!

This October, Playstation Plus is coming at you with seven free games across the PlayStation 3, PS Vita and PlayStation 4.

For the PS4 we have:

“Dust: An Elysian Tail”

“Spelunky”

“DriveClub: Playstation Plus Edition”

The firsttwo games are following the indie trend that the PS4 has been working with, as well as the Xbox One.

“Spelunky” is a rouge-like, side-scrolling platformer that has been doing quite well on the Twitch scene and garnering a lot of fans on Steam.

“Dust: An Elysian Tail,” while having less of  a frenzy over it, has been a well-received title that combines beautiful levels and characters with a mysterious character and story.

“DriveClub” is pretty much exactly what it sounds like, a racing game in the vein of “Forza.” Fast cars and fancy tracks are your ticket to the winner’s circle.

On PS3 we have:

“Batman: Arkham Asylum”

“Dungeons and Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara”

While I love me some indie games, I do feel that PS3 has gotten the better deal with a free copy of “Batman: Arkham Asylum.” The game that started it all with the iconic hero and the fantastic franchise, you’ll find yourself traversing the halls of the titular asylum, in search of ways to stop the Joker’s nefarious plot.

“Dungeons and Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara” is an HD remake that combines both “Chronicles of Mystara” and “Tower of Doom” into one game. Join your friends with some online co-op to traverse these treacherous locations.

On PS Vita we have:

“Pix the Cat” (Also available on PS4)

“Rainbow Moon” (Also available on PS3)

“Pix the Cat” is a fast-paced arcade game that’ll have you rescuing ducklings from the Grid of Infinity! If that’s not enough to sell you on this free game, then I don’t know what else you want in life.

“Rainbow Moon” is a fantasy role-playing game with six playable characters, twenty dungeons and some forty plus hours to play through.
