For those of you who haven’t picked up “Sleeping Dogs,” you might want to think about doing it now. While still available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 as well as PC, the game is now coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
In the recurring trend on current-generation consoles, it’s going to be a remastering of the game with new and updated graphics. The game will also include all of the downloadable content that was available for the game for no extra charge.
“Sleeping Dogs” was a fantastic romp through Hong Kong as an undercover cop trying to take down the triads of the city. More linear than “Grand Theft Auto,” but still open and free-roaming, the game had its problems with some control issues and occasionally boring side-missions, but as an overall experience the game was extremely great.
While we at GCV didn’t do a review of the game, as it had come out long before we got our hands on it, I would definitely recommend the game to anyone who currently doesn’t own it. It’s well worth the money. For those who have already played and beaten “Sleeping Dogs,” a purchase of this edition probably depends on whether or not you want the DLC and an updated graphical experience.
Keep your eyes out Oct. 14 for the release.
